Author & Promotional Tours
We’ve toured authors to most every state in the Union save the Dakotas, Alaska and Hawaii. Funny, the authors always ask for Hawaii and the publishers always say no. We’ve also coordinated tours to Canada and the United Kingdom. Author tours have included books on current events, the military, business, sports, pop culture, history, politics, self-help, science, wine and spirits, true crime, fantasy as well as children’s books and cookbooks. These tours have included events at places as varied as Fort Bragg, the Corcoran Gallery, Reading Reptile, Sur la Table stores, Marshall Fields, Augusta National for a PGA event and the University of Notre Dame during homecoming weekend.

Though we’ve scheduled many events with Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Joseph Beth, Hudson News, and Borders Books, we do love working with places like Anderson’s Bookshop, Barbara’s Books, Book Passage, Book Soup, Changing Hands, Chester County Books & Music, Cody’s, Diesel, Elliot Bay, Joseph Fox, Olsson’s, Politics & Prose, Powells, The Strand, Tattered Cover, Third Place, Vromans and many of the independent bookstores of all shapes and sizes that go all out for visiting authors and their communities.
While an author is traveling, we’ll keep them good and busy with in-studio and phone interviews, meetings, drop-bys, and stock signings. We won’t be on vacation while our authors are on tour and they won’t have the downtime to think they might be. We’ll also notify the event calendars and community announcements about author talks or book signings.
Satellite Media Tours
We can conduct television or radio satellite media tours (SMTs) on your behalf. The television tour can be done from a studio or on-location. The radio tour can also be done from a studio or you can be sitting at your desk or even your kitchen table. SMTs are a great way to get your message out to many markets in one or two days without having to travel outside of your region. For the busy professional who can spare a three-hour block of time rather than a 10-day tour, SMTs are the way to go. For authors and publishers, we endeavor to arrange SMTs as early as possible so that your book’s sales representatives have time to ensure the appropriate quantities are in the cities we’ve booked.
