Like a bride on her wedding day, we assemble something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.
Old is the foundation. The traditional processes that work and are the backbone of what we do. For instance, we’ll send two copies of your galley to Publishers Weekly five to six months in advance of your publication date to the correct department with all the pertinent information. If you follow the old rules, you generally get results.
New is the ever-changing world. Whether approaching a new cable channel, a new radio program or a new technology, we continue to learn and evolve and keep our ideas fresh. We were some of the first publicists to start actively pitching Sirius Radio programs and we now look for ways to incorporate Web sites like MySpace or YouTube into our plans. New is also new information or a breaking news story. If your story or product relates, we’ll make certain the producers know through e-mail or fax blasts or by sending a story out on the wire.
Borrowed is what our clients bring to the table and what we learn from others within the industry. If our client is smart enough to have written a book or developed a new product, he or she probably has some other brilliant ideas and we want to know them. Client input is encouraged. Likewise, we all go through life on a different path. If a client knows someone we don’t, we’ll borrow that information to help them too.
Blue is the blue sky of the great beyond and the crazy potential things that can result from wild brainstorming…the big “What if?” and the “How about we try this?” Just as the unexamined life is not worth living, so too is the unexamined publicity campaign not worth doing.
How We Do It
How do we do what we do? It’s a unique combination of your goals and input with our experience and style. Here’s a bit more on those key ingredients:
Goals
We work closely with you to ensure we’re matching your goals for the project.
Input
Beyond helping you achieve your goals, we also value your input. After all, you’re the expert in your subject, just like we’re experts in ours.
Experience
We approach every job with years of experience, backed by lots of hard work.
Style
Along with this experience and determination we approach every project with a mix of ingenuity, creativity and style.
We hope you’ll agree.
